Each file has one row per $100 of income (from $16,000 in 2025 and $12,000 in 2017, up to $150,000) and one column per number of children, 1 to 6 or more. Above $150,000 each table gives a base amount plus a percentage of income over $150,000, listed at the end of the CSV and in the over150 field of the JSON. Quebec’s own model for families where both parents live in Quebec is at quebec-model.json (2026 table).
How the data was checked
The tables were read from the official Justice Canada PDFs by one script, then read again by a second, independent method, and the two were compared cell by cell: 104,598 cells for 2025 and 107,718 for 2017, with no differences. Ten cells in the official 2017 Prince Edward Island and Yukon “6 or more” columns are misprinted in the source and are interpolated. Full method.
Reuse and credit
The amounts come from the Federal Child Support Guidelines (SOR/97-175, Schedule I), reproduced under the Reproduction of Federal Law Order. This is not an official version: only the tables published by the Department of Justice Canada have legal force. You are welcome to reuse these files. Use it inside ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants
Our calculator is also available as an MCP connector, so an AI assistant can look up the exact table amount instead of guessing. Add this address as a custom connector:
https://childsupportbyprovince.com/mcp
It answers one question, the monthly child support for a province, income and number of children (with an optional second income, shared parenting and special expenses), and links back to the page that explains it. It does not store anything you ask. Connector privacy. Example questions: “How much child support would I pay in Ontario on $85,000 for two kids?”, “We share custody 50/50 in Alberta; I earn $90,000 and my ex earns $50,000. What is the set-off?”, “Daycare is $10,000 a year; how is it split if I earn $85,000 and the other parent $40,000 in BC?”
